Kimberly Goree, M. ED.
Mrs. Goree is a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a wife. She is new to Midway but has taught for 10 years. Her first four years were in the East Texas area and she has been in Caddo for six years. All 10 years have blissfully been spent in pre-kindergarten and her love for this age group seems to increase every year. While working at Newton Smith Elementary, Mrs. Goree was nominated as the 2010 Teacher of the Year. She holds a degree in Criminal Justice as well as a certification to teach EC-4th in Texas, PK-3 in Louisiana, English as a Second Language, Supervision of a Student Teachers and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
Mrs. Goree is a firm believer that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. It is her desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites sharing of idea. Mrs. Goree is has been married for five years and is a mother to three girls aged 14, three, and a newborn. She loves to spend her free time with her family and friends.
