A mentor teacher, iLearn STEM Innovator, and Professional Development Trainer. Mrs. Mack has presented at the Caddo Parish Title I Parent Test Prep Workshops, the North Louisiana Math Association Conference, and the North Louisiana regional ECET2 (Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teaching and Teachers) Symposium. Served or am serving on both the Caddo Parish ELA and Math Task Forces and serves as a Fundamentals of Literacy Instruction (FOLI) Trainer. Chosen as a 2015-2016 Red Apple Excellence in Education Award Nominee and was selected as the 2011-12 (Sunset Acres Elementary) and 2016-17
(Midway Elementary) Teacher of The Year.
Mrs. Mack is married to Orlando Mack and together they are the parents of eight awesome adults. She has five adventurous granddaughters. Mrs. Mack sets high expectations in her personal and professional life and truly believes that......"ALL children CAN learn!"

She currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Teaching with a Certification in PreK-15. Ms. Simon strongly believes that all children are willing to learn as long as we are willing to teach. She is also a strong believer in parental involvement. Parental involvement is an influential factor in student achievement and motivation. Ms. Simon is the mother of one daughter, Chakirian (6), which inspired her to go on to become a teacher. She loves to do what her daughter calls play learning. Learning should be fun and exciting. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and teaching others to be tech savvy. She is looking forward to working with her new Mustang family to better the education and lives of our students.
