"Extraordinary in every Way!"

Prentiss R. Jones

Mr. Prentiss Jones began his educational career as he volunteered for Caddo Parish School Board through America Reads and HOSTS (Help One Student to Succeed) programs from 1998-2000.  He later became a substitute teacher in Caddo Parish which included a long term position in Second grade at Queensborough Elementary.  Later, he became a Special Educational Aide for both Westwood and Caddo Heights Elementary.  This year, he is eager to become apart of our team at Midway as a Special Education Aide.

House of Support

Mrs. Plater is the wife of the late Reverend Paul Plater and loving mother of 2 amazing young adults.  She has a genuine love for people which is clearly exhibited through her hobby of helping the less fortunate.  When she is not helping others she is strengthening her bond with her immediate family and church members.  Initially, she earned an Associates degree in Business Management from Southern University, and later earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Organization from Wiley College.  Mrs. Plater is a firm believer in her faith.  Her favorite quote comes from Bible scripture Romans 8:28.

"For we know in all things work together for good to those who love God."

She started working with children nine years ago as the Owner/Director of Jimmie's Rainbow Childcare Center, a family owned business named after her mother. For the past four years she has worked for Caddo Parish School Board as a Substitute Teacher, while pursuing my Alternative Certification in Elementary in Elementary Education. My goal is to help prepare students today for success tomorrow. She has been married for 25 years. She is the mother of two children, Faith, 10, and Matthew, 12.
